The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces announced on Sunday that they have mobilized all their resources and equipment to serve Arbaeen pilgrims. Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to reports, Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces have implemented security measures by establishing checkpoints in the western regions of Anbar provinces and deploying extensively in desert areas close to the borders of Karbala, alongside the Iraqi army, to prevent any infiltration by terrorist elements and ensure the security of service convoys.
The Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have also begun implementing a special service plan, under the orders of Abdulaziz al-Mohammadawy, the organization’s chief of staff, and in coordination with the governor of Karbala, which includes clearing and preparing roads and supporting service institutions to host pilgrims.
According to Tasnim, PMF commanders emphasized that these forces play a prominent role in protecting the security of Iraq’s religious ceremonies, especially Arbaeen.
These measures come at a time when, according to reports, the PMF’s intelligence forces have also succeeded in thwarting terrorist plans to attack pilgrims in southern Baghdad. The organization’s special operations room has been active since the first of Safar and will continue to operate until the last pilgrim returns from Karbala.
