Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs traveled to Nuristan to express sympathy with flood victims
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, traveled to Nuristan today (Monday) to express sympathy with the victims of the recent floods in Nuristan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: In a meeting with the victims, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund stated that the officials of the Islamic Emirate are servants of the nation and assured that the government will use all available resources to help the flood victims.
 
During this trip, representatives of the private sector also accompanied the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and distributed cash assistance to the affected families.
 
It is worth noting that the recent floods in Nuristan have caused heavy casualties and damages, and the Disaster Preparedness and Combating Directorate had previously announced that the number of flood victims in the province is more than 100.
 
The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs also inspected the process of rebuilding the damaged areas and providing assistance to the flood victims, and emphasized the acceleration of relief operations and the reconstruction of the destroyed infrastructure.
