Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to this report, in Washington's latest proposal, concessions were given to Iran regarding the closure of the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz, but by rejecting this proposal, Tehran has insisted on its previous position that the strait will continue to be closed until the complete cessation of the hostile actions of the United States.
The spokesperson of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasized today that "no direct negotiations are underway with the United States", and said that talks about a temporary and safe route for shipping are being conducted exclusively with Oman.
He has stated that any agreement with Oman alone will not be enough to fully reopen the strait, and as long as the US naval blockade continues, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will not return to its pre-war state.
