Pakistan invites Araqchi to visit Islamabad; Iranian and Omani foreign ministers hold phone conversation
While Iran has rejected the US proposal to open the Strait of Hormuz and insists on its continued closure until the end of the war, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry has invited Iranian Foreign Minister Sayed Abbas Araqchi to visit Islamabad at the earliest possible opportunity. Meanwhile, it is said that a few hours ago, the foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman discussed and exchanged views on the latest regional developments.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: This invitation was raised in a phone call between Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Iranian counterpart.

According to Fars, Ishaq Dar reviewed the latest regional developments and the process of diplomatic consultations with Araqchi in this phone call and emphasized the continuation of close cooperation and consultations with the aim of establishing lasting peace and stability in the region.

Meanwhile, according to reports, the Iranian Foreign Minister discussed the latest regional developments in a separate phone call this evening with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyed Badr Al-Busaid.

These diplomatic consultations are taking place while news sources had previously reported that Iran had rejected the US proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Al-Mayadeen Network reported, citing an Iranian source, that Iran, in response to Washington's recent proposal, has announced that it will not agree to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz until the war is completely over.
