Signing of an 892,000 USD Memorandum of Understanding to Provide Health Services in Eight Provinces
The Ministry of Public Health has signed an agreement worth more than 892,000 USD with a health institution, paving the way for the provision of essential life-saving health care services to more than 167,000 people in eight provinces of the country.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Public Health has announced in a press release that it has signed an 892,285 USD Memorandum of Understanding with the Afghan Youth Services Organization (AYSO) to provide essential life-saving health care services to disadvantaged people in eight provinces of the country.
 
According to the ministry’s press release, the health services of this project will be provided in the provinces of Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Nuristan, Ghazni, Khost, Paktia and Paktika.
 
This memorandum of understanding was signed for a period of 15 months and based on it, 167,378 residents of these provinces will benefit from medical services and healthcare through eight health centers. Also, job opportunities will be created for 240 people in the health sector.
 
Representatives of the Afghan Youth Services Institute have assured that they will implement this project in accordance with the established standards and will pay special attention to effectively responding to the health needs of the people.
 
The Ministry of Public Health has stated that the purpose of signing this memorandum is to improve the quality of health services, increase citizens' access to health services, and reduce health problems in deprived areas.
 
The Ministry of Public Health, in cooperation with national and international institutions, has implemented numerous programs in recent years to expand health services in deprived areas of the country. It is worth noting that providing primary and life-saving care services, developing health centers, increasing access to medical services, and creating job opportunities in the health sector are among the most important goals of this cooperation.
