According to an Associated Press report published on Thursday, while the US military describes most of these injuries as "mild", doctors have no way to predict which of the injured will develop lasting problems such as chronic headaches, dizziness, sleep disorders, mood changes and cognitive problems. This has been so difficult that there is a medical debate about whether the term “mild traumatic brain injury” should be abandoned.
Previous reports suggest that hundreds of American soldiers have suffered concussions in Iranian missile and drone attacks on US bases in the region.
