Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Referring to America's policies in the region, Jawad Rahim, a member of the Iraqi Parliament's Security and Defense Commission, said that Washington has sought to secure its interests and expand its strategic influence in the Middle East by creating crises and escalating tensions over the past years.
He added that the US government, relying on the policy of creating crises and insecurity, is trying to justify its military presence in the region and advance its political and strategic goals.
The Iraqi parliamentarian also pointed to Washington's commitments and agreements with the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasizing that the United States has not adhered to the agreements reached, and that this approach has complicated regional developments and increased instability.
Rahim warned that the continuation of these policies could exacerbate security and political crises in West Asia and reduce the opportunity to achieve real solutions to regional conflicts.
