Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The central office of the Lebanese Amal Movement, in a statement, referred to the environmental disaster and fires caused by the actions of the Zionist regime in the heights of "Niha" to "Kfarhuna" and the western Bekaa regions, and called on the Lebanese government to take immediate action to counter these crimes.
The Amal Movement called on the Lebanese government to submit its official complaints to the relevant international authorities and institutions, inform the relevant embassies, and accurately document all attacks and damages to the environment in order to provide a basis for holding the perpetrators of these actions accountable.
The movement emphasized that, based on available data, the recent fires occurred after the launch of missiles from the Israeli regime’s drones in these areas; an action that is considered a direct attack on the environment, forest resources, and Lebanese lands, and that immediate and documented investigations should be conducted and necessary legal measures should be taken.
Rejecting any attempt by the Israeli regime to turn Lebanese areas into “scorched earth,” the Amal Movement warned that the continuation of this policy would destroy forests and vegetation, damage natural resources, and pose a serious threat to the lives of local communities.
The statement stated that the Lebanese environment should not be destroyed as a result of the Zionist regime's aggression, and that protecting land, forests, and natural resources is a national and international responsibility.
The Amal Movement also stated that the current demand is not limited to controlling the fires, but also includes identifying and pursuing the perpetrators of this crime, fully documenting the damages, and holding those responsible accountable.
The movement called on the Lebanese government to use all available means and capacities to prevent the spread of fires and save the forest and natural resources of the affected areas.
