Leader of the Islamic Revolution Appoints 6 Senior Commanders of the Iranian Armed Forces

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Tehran: Iranian media reported; Based on these decrees, Brigadier General Ali Abdollahi was appointed as Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and Amir Kiyomars Heydari as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces. Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi was also appointed as Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran with the rank of Major General, and Brigadier General Mostafa Izadi has assumed the responsibility of Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Guards.

According to Tasnim, in continuation of these decrees, the responsibility of commanding the IRGC Navy has been assigned to Ali Ozamai and the leadership of the Basij Organization for the Oppressed has been assigned to Hossein Taeb.

According to the report, in these decrees, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized the enhancement of the capabilities and comprehensive defense-security readiness of the Iranian Armed Forces, timely and effective response to threats, completion of the integration of the General Staff and the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters of the country, as well as the cultural elevation and strengthening of the revolutionary spirit in Iranian military organizations.
