Qatar: Iran-Oman talks on the Strait of Hormuz have reached a “decisive point”

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: He said in his press conference that Qatar supports diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the region and has received positive feedback from Iran and Oman in this regard.

 

Al-Ansari stressed that Doha will support any agreement that can guarantee the security of the Strait of Hormuz, freedom of navigation and prevent this strategic waterway from becoming a tool for political pressure.

 

These statements come at a time when Iran has repeatedly stated that the agreement with Oman alone does not mean the complete opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and that the United States must accept Tehran's conditions, including lifting the naval blockade, lifting sanctions, and releasing frozen assets.
