Abdul Salam Hanafi reviewed the process of providing services to returnees in Islam Qala

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister’s Office issued a press release saying that Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister’s Office, accompanied by Mawlawi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, visited the facilities created to welcome and provide services to returnees at the Islam Qala border.

During this visit, the status of returnees, the manner in which services are provided, and the process of addressing their problems and needs were reviewed by officials of various committees.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the provision of timely, regular and appropriate services to returnees and called on officials to seriously follow up and meet their needs at all stages of their entry, registration, settlement and transfer.

Mr. Hanafi also emphasized greater coordination between the responsible committees at the Islam Qala border and called for improving the process of providing services to returning families.

With the increase in the process of returning refugees from neighboring countries, the Islam Qala border in Herat province is considered one of the main entry points for returnees into the country. At this border, various facilities and committees have been established to welcome, register, provide health services and other basic needs and transfer returnees.

The visits of senior officials of the Islamic Emirate to these centers are being carried out while emphasizing the provision of regular services and addressing the needs of returnees at different stages of their entry and transfer.
