Tehran and Islamabad's emphasis on deepening relations and solving regional crises

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: In this meeting, Rezaei considered the government, army and people of Pakistan to be among the "great capitals of the Islamic world" and said that Tehran is pleased to witness the participation and movements of the Prime Minister and the commander of the Pakistani army in regional developments, more than in the past.

Referring to the role of major Islamic countries in regional developments, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said: Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Indonesia, as the major countries of the Islamic world, have the duty to take steps towards the realization of the unity of the Islamic world.

He also pointed to the Iranian government's approach to relations with Pakistan and said: Iran's President Masoud Mezikian pays special attention to Pakistan and believes that the volume of exchanges between the two countries should be multiplied.

He added: "A great investment has been created between Iran and Pakistan" and emphasized that the interest between the two countries is a "genuine and religious interest".

The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council considered the relations between the people of the two countries to be beyond description and said that the love and interest of the people of Iran for Pakistan and the people of Pakistan for Iran is exemplary in the world.

At the end of his speech, Rezaei emphasized that all the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran have considered Pakistan as "Iran's strategic Aqaba" and Iran as "Pakistan's strategic Aqaba".

In this meeting, the Minister of Interior of Pakistan also emphasized the status of relations between Tehran and Islamabad and said that the relations between Iran and Pakistan have always been privileged, but during the past months these relations have been upgraded to a much stronger level than before.

Naqvi added that the two countries are now witnessing a level of relations that did not exist before.

 

This meeting was held a day after Pakistan's Interior Minister Syed Mohsen Naqvi had a meeting and discussion with Iran's Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araghchi on Tuesday evening.

Simultaneously with the visit of the Interior Minister of Pakistan to Tehran, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, also discussed the latest situation of bilateral relations and regional developments in a meeting with Reza Amiri Moghadam, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad.

In this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan emphasized Islamabad's serious will to comprehensively develop relations with Iran with the aim of securing the mutual interests of the two countries.

The parties also emphasized on dialogue and diplomacy as the only effective way to solve regional issues and achieve lasting stability.

The sequence of these meetings in Tehran and Islamabad shows that the political and security consultations between Iran and Pakistan at the level of senior officials of the two countries continue, at the same time as regional developments, with a focus on expanding bilateral relations and efforts to reduce regional crises.
