Hamas: Closing the Ibrahimi Mosque is part of the plan to Judaize the West Bank

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Hamas considered this action “a clear violation of freedom of worship” and an insult to the sanctity of Islamic sanctities, and emphasized that such behavior is part of the expansionist and fascist strategy of the occupying government to change the identity of Palestinian lands, accelerate the annexation process, and advance the policy of Judaizing the West Bank.

 

The statement stated that the Ibrahimi Mosque has always been an inseparable part of the religious, national, and historical identity of the Palestinian people and the Islamic Ummah. Hamas stressed that any attempt by the occupying regime to divide the mosque or exercise sovereignty over it will be devoid of any legal validity and religious and historical legitimacy.

The movement also called on the residents of Hebron and other areas of the West Bank to resist restrictive policies, Judaization measures, and repeated attacks on Palestinian holy sites by maintaining a large and continuous presence around the Ibrahimi Mosque.

Hamas also emphasized the need to use “all legitimate means of resistance” to deter the occupiers and prevent their aggression against Palestinian land and holy sites.

Finally, the movement called on Arab and Islamic countries, as well as public opinion in the Islamic world, to assume their historical and religious responsibility and take immediate and decisive action to stop the aggression against the Ibrahimi Mosque, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and other Islamic holy sites.

 

Hamas calls for support for residents of Qasra

At the same time, Mahmoud Mardawi, one of the leaders of Hamas, called on the residents of the village of Qasra, southeast of Nablus, and residents of surrounding villages and towns in a statement today, Wednesday, to unite in support of families who are under siege and under attack by Zionist settlers, and to strengthen their field presence around the village.

Referring to the intensification of attacks by Zionist settlers on Qasra, Mardawi said that what is happening in this area is a new attempt to impose forced displacement, create terror, and force Palestinians to leave their land.

He considered the resistance of the residents of Qasra and their adherence to their homes and land to be the "most powerful response" to these plans, and praised the resistance and steadfastness of the residents of this village.

The Hamas leader also referred to the situation of other residents of the West Bank, who, according to him, face daily attacks by settlers, and called for strengthening the protection and support committees to support the Palestinians and increase their ability to remain in their land.

Mardavi continued by emphasizing the need for unity of position between official institutions, Palestinian groups, and the people, and said that solidarity between villages and towns can be a barrier against settlement plans and forced displacement.

He called for the continuation of national and popular movements until the settlers’ attacks are completely stopped.

 

Qasra; One of the Hotspots of Tension in the West Bank

The village of Qasra, southeast of Nablus, is considered one of the sensitive areas of the West Bank that has been severely attacked by Zionist settlers in recent months.

Due to its proximity to the Zionist settlements in the region, this village has always been the scene of conflict between Palestinian residents and settlers.

According to this report, Zionist settlers in the West Bank, with the support of the occupying regime's military, are continuously attacking Palestinian villages and cities and are trying to force Palestinians to leave their homes and lands through measures such as demolishing homes, imposing severe restrictions, and threatening residents.
