British Special Representative for Afghanistan Richard Lindsay said during his recent visit to Kabul that the future of Afghanistan is important to the people of the country, the region and Britain and that London will continue to engage with Afghanistan.

Lindsay also announced that the UK will allocate £105 million annually for health, education, support for vulnerable people and livelihoods in Afghanistan over the next three years.
He had earlier met with officials of the Islamic Emirate, while expressing sympathy for the victims of the recent Pakistani attacks in Kunar province, and stressed the need to reduce tensions between Kabul and Islamabad and resolve differences through dialogue.
