He added that the purpose of the decision to monopolize weapons is to prevent the formation of any parallel command or the use of weapons outside the framework of the government, and this decision only includes groups that operate outside the framework of official security institutions.
These statements come at a time when the Iraqi Shiite Coordination Framework had previously announced that any disarmament plan must include all armed groups in the country, and that the Popular Mobilization Forces are an official institution subordinate to the government.
