Trump orders halt to talks with Iran; Washington seeks to intensify economic pressure

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Despite repeated and false claims by the terrorist US President Donald Trump that he prefers diplomacy to resolve problems with Iran, now there is news of an order to halt talks.

 

CNN reported on Tuesday evening, citing US officials, that Trump has ordered his aides to halt all talks with Iran.

 

The report states: "US officials have informed the country's allies that they are changing their strategy [from military strikes] and moving towards gradually strangling Iran's economy."

 

“Trump is unhappy with Iran’s failure to yield to his demands and wants to wait for Iranian leaders to show renewed willingness to reach the deal he is seeking,” the sources, who were not named, told CNN.

 

CNN also added that tough sanctions are expected to be imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran soon.

 

Trump had previously written on the social media platform Truth Social: “There are no talks or negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and there are no plans for them. The naval blockade remains in place.”
