These statements come as tensions between Russia and Western countries have increased over the sending of long-range weapons to Ukraine.
It is worth noting that Moscow had previously repeatedly warned Western countries about sending weapons to Ukraine, calling it a "provocative" move. However, Britain and other Western allies continue to provide military support to Kiev.
The warning comes as Russia has stepped up attacks on Ukraine's military and energy infrastructure in recent weeks. The Pentagon also announced it was handing over leadership of the Ukraine Assistance Group to European allies. However, Britain is one of the countries that continues to provide military support to Ukraine and has promised to send new weapons.
