Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Ayatollah Yaqubi made these remarks during a meeting with Ayatollah Sheikh Mohsen Qomi, head of international relations at the office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and Ayatollah Seyyed Mujtaba Hosseini, representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iraq, and the accompanying delegation.
In this meeting, the Iranian delegation conveyed the Leader of the Islamic Revolution's message of gratitude to the religious authorities of Najaf Ashraf and the general Iraqi people for the millions of people attending the funeral of the "Martyr Leader, Grand Ayatollah (Imam) Seyyed Ali Khamenei" and for the worthy services rendered to millions of Iranian pilgrims during the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Hussein.
In this meeting, Ayatollah Yaqoubi, while receiving the message from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, considered these measures to be indicative of the depth of historical relations between the two Muslim nations of Iran and Iraq.
The failure of the enemies' conspiracies and the rejection of doubts against the school of Islam
The Iraqi Shiite religious authority, referring to the importance of the recent positions of the Iraqi nation, stated: "These great positions reveal the loyalty of the Iraqi nation to God Almighty and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his pure family, their firm faith in the school of Islam and the leadership of the religious authorities, and their opposition to oppression, aggression, and arrogance."
He added: “With these positions, the Iraqi nation thwarted the enemies’ plots to separate the nation and the divine scholars, and they also rejected the suspicion that the Islamic school was incapable of guiding the nation towards happiness, prosperity, and righteousness.”
Referring to the heavy price of walking this path, Ayatollah Yaqubi stated: “Although the price of this path may be heavy and painful, its blessings for humanity make this calamity bearable; just as the sacrifice of Imam Hussein (AS) gave true life to humanity throughout generations.”
Divine Promise and Hope for the Future
Citing the divine promise that the end is for the pious, he said: “God Almighty, whose blessings are immense, is the protector and helper of the believers.”
This Shiite religious authority referred to verse 104 of Surah An-Nisa to emphasize this issue: “If you suffer [in confrontation with the enemy], they suffer like you, and you hope from God that [such as victory and reward] that they do not hope for.”
Waiting for a Divine Savior and the Responsibility of the Ummah
In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Yaqubi emphasized the situation of humanity in the contemporary world by referring to the following: “All nations, even in countries with material progress, are waiting for a divine and universal Savior; a Savior who will restore the lost dignity of man, establish the lost social justice, and free them from oppression, aggression, and irrational nihilism.”
He added: “This issue has become especially important after the scandals of the rulers of these countries have become apparent; scandals that humanity is ashamed of.”
In conclusion, this Shiite religious authority emphasized the necessity of a public effort to explain Islamic teachings, noting: "In order for this belief to spread among all people, a broad movement must be formed in the fields of propaganda, explanation, insight, and awareness; and this is a responsibility that God Almighty will ask us about."
