Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Gharibabadi, in response to a question about the latest consultations with the intermediary countries (Pakistan, Oman, and Qatar), clarified that Iran has reached an understanding with Oman regarding the arrangements for passing through the Strait of Hormuz, but this understanding will not automatically enter the implementation stage and its realization is subject to the implementation of the obligations that the other party, specifically the United States, is responsible for.
Noting that “Iran is in no hurry to open the Strait of Hormuz,” the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister stressed that Washington must return to its commitments in the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and that Iran has made the necessary measures that must be taken by the United States completely clear.
He also referred to the new US sanctions and added that Iran is ready for any scenario and will continue its defensive measures.
