Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: The fifth International Conference and Exhibition of Hospitals and Medical Centers (IPH2026) was held from 07 to 09 September 1405 at Hotel Huma in Tehran. This event was organized by Hemat Center for the Development of Health Tourism of Islamic Countries in cooperation with the Health Tourism Association of Tehran Province and international hospital associations, with the aim of introducing therapeutic capacities, creating international synergies, sharing experiences and getting to know the latest achievements, solutions and new technologies in the field of medical tourism.
"Nasim Rahmat"; More than a slogan
Speaking at this conference, stating that the title "Naseem Rahmat" is not just a slogan for me, he said: "This is a look to introduce Tehran; Of course, the issue is not only Tehran; The issue is all about Iran, because Kishor benefits from the good capacity of doctors, hospitals, universities and specialists.
Referring to the international treatment campaign "Naseem Rahmat", he added: "This survey was inspired by the 1500th anniversary of the birth of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) with the focus on health, philanthropy and service to mankind."
The Secretary General of the Islamic Countries Health Tourism Development Center explained the nature of this campaign: "In this campaign, medical services with special facilities are provided for international patients in the holy month of Rabi'aul, but this campaign is not only providing facilities, but also pursues two important and practical goals."
Zangoui named the first goal of this campaign to identify the specialized capabilities of Iran's hospitals and said: "We are trying to determine which medical center has more capacity in areas of specialization and capability so that the patient, family and medical tourism companies can have a more accurate choice; In other words, the patient will be considered appropriate for the appropriate specialty in the center.
He noted that the second goal is to consolidate the capacities of Iran and noted: "This campaign brings organizations, institutions, domestic and international media, hospitals, medical centers, doctors, health tourism companies and other actors together in Iran around a common capacity."
Approved by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Naqsh Pishgam Iran
Zangoi further pointed to the resolution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the context of commemorating the 15th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and said: "This resolution was defined for the year 2025 and, God willing, it will be implemented for the year 2026." We had announced that this campaign would be held in Islamic countries with potential, such as Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and other countries. But due to regional conflicts and problems, many countries did not pay much attention to this issue.
He added: "Over the past month, with relative conditions becoming calmer, we have managed to define and execute this issue with power and speed in Iran." Institutions and organizations such as the Tehran Municipality and the Organization of the Medical System of Iran were also involved in this issue. Therefore, it can be said that Iran is the first child if the "Naseem Rahmat" campaign was launched seriously.
The Secretary General of the Center for the Development of Health Tourism in Islamic Countries expressed the hope that he will visit the Islamic countries in the coming year: "This measure is also useful in the field of branding medical services for countries, and it can be a general mission in accordance with the Prophet's (PBUH) life in the field of mutual assistance and understanding towards people who are facing health and wellness problems."
Iran; Axon connecting capacities of regional and global health
In another part of his speech, addressing the ambassadors and representatives of the countries present at the conference, Zangoi called the trust formed between Iran and other countries a valuable capital and said: "Trust will be a capital if formed between you and me, it can lead to wider cooperation from introduction and referral of patients to education, exchange of experience and direct communication between medical centers of different countries."
He stressed: "My goal is not only to transfer one patient from one child to another; The goal is to create a satisfactory path between the patient, the doctor, the hospital and the international health network, and this is the point if Iran can play a role beyond the role of therapy; "Iran can be one of the axes of connecting the health capacities of the region and the world."
The Secretary General of the Islamic Countries Health Tourism Development Center recognized the IPH2026 conference as one of the important points of this path and said: "This is the place to find each other's capacities, to form connections and to start real cooperation." "Iran has great potential in the field of health tourism, but the real power will be formed when these capabilities are combined and organized, and it will be introduced to the world."
Iran's competitive advantage in the field of medicine
In another part of this discussion, the Secretary General of the Islamic Countries Health Tourism Development Center discussed the competitive advantages of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of medicine and said: "In terms of prices, services and expertise, Iran is considered one of the best countries."
He named health tourism as one of the main solutions to Iran's economic situation and sanctions issues and explained: "You cannot embargo a patient in one country if he does not go to another country for treatment. When a patient needs medical services from anywhere in the world, he checks where he will go, at what price and what quality services he will find."
Referring to the need for a more modern approach to Iran, Zangoi explained: "This event may be a great opportunity for us to think about our own capabilities, apart from topics related to natural infrastructure or other issues. We have good specialists and there are very good capacities in this field if we should focus more seriously on them.
Afghanistan; The need to create transparent treatment methods and fight abusers
In the continuation of this interview with Awa reporter, Zangoui discussed the issue of Afghanistan as a neighboring country and with reference to the presence of several million Afghan refugees in Iran and the serious need of the people of Afghanistan for medical services, he emphasized the need to organize medical routes between the two countries.
He stated that the media of Afghanistan can play an effective role in solving this problem and said: "When the issue of visa is pursued through unofficial channels or people with medical visas come to Iran and sometimes do not return, this phenomenon exists in all countries. But when effective and defined channels do not exist in this field, the whole process is disrupted."
The Secretary-General's Center for the Development of Health Tourism in Islamic Countries, emphasizing the need to create a clear and transparent route between the two countries, added: "The more transparent routes are strengthened, the less effective the presence of people will be." In that case, community medicine and specialists in Iran and Afghanistan will establish a deeper bond, exchange knowledge, and definitely the treatment of Afghan patients in Iran will take a different and simpler form.
He also informed about the readiness of the Health Tourism Development Center of Islamic Countries to identify and strengthen effective actors in this process from different countries, especially Afghanistan, and said: "As this process develops, the activity of ineffective individuals will be limited and this issue can be very effective in the development of relations between Iran and Afghanistan in the field of medical services."
In the end, Zangoi asked the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan to have a more serious interaction with the Iranian side and expressed his hope: "God willing, with this cooperation, good things will happen in the development of relations between Afghanistan and Iran." This possibility exists in the total center for the development of health tourism in Islamic countries.
