Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Kabul: Nepal's Ministry of Home Affairs has announced an increase in the number of victims of the country's deadly floods.
According to Reuters, the Nepalese Ministry of Home Affairs announced that the number of victims of the deadly flood in the country has increased to 903.
According to this report, the flood has also caused more than 4,200 people to go missing.
Earlier, the International Committee of the Red Cross had announced that the extent of the destruction left by the deadly flood in Nepal is catastrophic.
The Nepalese government had warned a few days ago about the possibility of new floods and asked residents of flooded areas to remain on full alert after the water level in the Butkoshi River rose.
Flood warning notifications were also sent to people's phones as rescue teams worked to clear the main highway connecting Kathmandu to one of the areas worst hit by the recent deadly floods.
Dharam Raj Aperti, executive director of Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Organization, told state and international media that the latest warnings were issued after Chinese officials informed their Nepalese counterparts of rising water levels upstream.
