Chinese President: World order should be based on justice and equality

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to Russia Today, Chinese President Xi Jinping said at the 26th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of State in Bishkek, Kazakhstan: The formation of a multipolar world has become an irreversible historical trend.

 

He added: "We must promote common human values, abandon double standards, exceptionalism, interventionism, bullying and the law of the jungle, and advance the democratization of international relations."

 

The Chinese official supports the formation of a multipolar, equal and just world, and the countries of the Global South have become an important element in the dialogue about this world. We want to strengthen their role.

 

Stating that "we want to cooperate to restore the authority of the United Nations," he said: The Shanghai Cooperation Organization can play a greater role in building a world based on justice and equality.

 

The Chinese president noted: We want to support the countries of the Global South, and instead of confrontation and blocs, we want cooperation and partnership.

 

Xi stressed: Today, the competition between dialogue and confrontation, win-win cooperation and zero-sum game, and multilateralism and unilateralism has intensified, and the shadow of war has not yet left the world. At a time when the future and destiny of humanity are related, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization must shoulder its historical responsibility and actively play a role in guiding the course of history.

 

He said that the first priority is to put development at the center of cooperation and create a vision for common prosperity, calling for supporting inclusive and beneficial economic globalization for all countries.

 

The Chinese president said that while strengthening cooperation in traditional areas such as trade and investment, infrastructure connectivity and energy, SCO members should also expand cooperation in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, green industries and green minerals.

 

Xi said that Beijing will pursue new projects with a total capacity of 10 million kilowatts of solar power and 10 million kilowatts of wind power together with SCO countries.

 

He also invited interested countries to participate in the "Greater Common Market; Export to China" program and benefit from China's vast market capacity.
