Qalibaf: We have made military progress equivalent to a decade in the past 15 months / The Strait of Hormuz is in full control of the armed forces
In his first video interview with the people of this country, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, referred to Iran’s military achievements in the recent war and emphasized that the Iranian armed forces have made progress “equivalent to a decade” in the past 15 months and that they have full control of the Strait of Hormuz. He also revealed the enemy’s new plan for a combined war against Iran.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: In this interview held on Tuesday evening (September 1), the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament stated that we have performed better than the previous ones in each period of the war and said: “The processes of rebuilding and strengthening the capabilities of the armed forces in the offensive and defensive sectors are being carried out in the best possible way. These measures are being carried out because our technology is indigenous and our youth are doing this work and we do not need to turn our hands to the enemy.”

Full control of the Strait of Hormuz in the hands of the Iranian Armed Forces

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, emphasizing that the Iranian Armed Forces have full control of the Strait of Hormuz, said: “America is trying to pass a few ships through the Strait of Hormuz like thieves and smugglers, but it is facing resistance from the Iranian Armed Forces.” He added that the enemy’s recent attacks on Iran were due to Iran’s exercise of power in the Strait of Hormuz, and these attacks have been met with a fierce response. Referring to the US claims about control of the Strait, Qalibaf said: “If control of the Strait is in the hands of America, why was it necessary for them to repeat it every day and attack our islands? The Americans falsely assure ships that they can pass through the Strait, but those ships are hit.”

In another part of his speech, Qalibaf revealed the new plan of the country’s enemies, saying that after failing in the military and diplomatic arenas, the enemy has resorted to economic and cognitive warfare and added it to its military war. He emphasized: “A naval blockade means a military war. The enemy’s goal in the hybrid war is to start chaos inside the country with terror and short military attacks. The enemy’s plan is clear to all our officials.”

Exercising Iranian management over the Strait is in line with international law

Referring to Iran’s agreement with Oman to manage the Strait of Hormuz, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament said: “Exercising Iranian management over the Strait of Hormuz does not contradict international law.” He emphasized that in addition to exercising military power, good progress has also been made in the field of diplomacy and the agreement with Oman, as a coastal country of the Strait of Hormuz, was reached through diplomacy.

Qalibaf concluded by emphasizing the need to support the people of this country in the current situation and said: “Today, everyone, both officials and people, must be careful not to play on the enemy’s turf. The people have shown in all scenes that they were the vanguard and the vanguard, and the enemy has never been able to exploit our people. With the planning that has been done and the support of the people, we will get through this difficult war.”
