Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Maulvi Ahmadullah Wasiq, Director General of the Ministry of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports, met with Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports of Russia, in Kyrgyzstan and discussed the expansion of joint sports cooperation.
In this meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening sports relations between Afghanistan and Russia, the participation of Afghan athletes in international competitions, and the development of sports in Afghanistan.
The meeting also discussed and exchanged views on expanding areas of cooperation between sports institutions of the two countries and providing more opportunities for Afghan athletes to participate in international sports competitions.
Sports relations between countries are considered one of the important areas of international interaction, and in recent years, Afghanistan has tried to increase the presence of its athletes in regional and international competitions by developing sports relations.
