Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Sports Service: Friendly Wushu competitions have begun in the sports hall of the National Wushu Federation of the country in Kabul with the participation of 255 athletes from 60 clubs.
According to the National Wushu Federation of the country, these competitions will be held in the age categories of teenagers, youths and adults and in different weights from 14 to 120 kilograms.
At the end of these competitions, the best athletes are scheduled to be awarded championship medals.
The National Wushu Federation of the country has stated that the purpose of holding these competitions is to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the re-establishment of the National Wushu Association and to provide better preparation for athletes to participate in future competitions.
These competitions will last for two days.
Wushu is a popular martial art in Afghanistan, and in recent years, Afghan athletes have participated in various domestic and international competitions in this discipline. Holding friendly and domestic competitions, in addition to identifying new talents, provides the opportunity to gain competitive experience and prepare athletes for participation in larger events.
