Two Palestinian youths martyred in Ramallah by Zionist gunfire

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Continuing the brutal attacks by the Zionists on the West Bank, Palestinian sources reported last night a fierce clash between Palestinians and the Zionist soldiers and settlers and announced that two Palestinian youths were martyred by the occupation forces.

 

The Palestine Red Crescent announced that on Wednesday night, amid the intensification of the Zionist attacks on Palestinian homes, two 19-year-old youths were martyred in the village of Al-Mugheer, north of Ramallah.

 

According to Palestinian sources, Omar Muhammad Naasan and Khalil Abu Aliya, both 19 years old, were shot by the occupation forces, one in the neck and the other in the waist, and died before reaching the hospital.

 

Amin Abu Aliya, head of the Al-Mugheer village council, announced the martyrdom of the two 19-year-olds, who both died from their injuries, saying that the Israeli settlers, along with the regime’s soldiers, stormed the center of the village, attacked two houses, and stole their sheep.

 

He added that the occupying army snipers were stationed in buildings in the center of the village and opened fire on Palestinians who tried to confront the settlers who were stealing the sheep. As a result of the Israeli snipers’ fire, the two 19-year-olds were shot and died before being taken to the hospital.

 

Palestinian sources reported that during the settlers’ raid on Al-Mugheer village, violent clashes broke out between them and the Palestinians, and the occupying forces, in support of the settlers, stationed themselves in the village and closed its entrances.

 

According to these reports, the Zionist soldiers also fired tear gas at Palestinian homes, causing several people to suffocate and preventing medical teams from reaching the injured and damaged homes.

 

This comes at a time when settler attacks in the West Bank are on the rise. Last month, we witnessed 628 attacks, concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh (157 attacks), Nablus (137 attacks), Hebron (120 attacks), Bethlehem (73 attacks), Tubas (40 attacks), Jenin (36 attacks) and Jerusalem (31 attacks).

 

A few days ago, the Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom announced that the Israeli army had issued a strategic warning, stressing that the West Bank was facing the risk of a large-scale confrontation due to the sharp increase in tensions and the inability of the relevant authorities to address them.

 

Yoav Limor, a Zionist military analyst who revealed the matter, said: The IDF warning has not been made public and Defense Minister Israel Katz issued only a brief and vague statement, but the army reviewed data on settler violence, or what is known as “Jewish terrorism,” in the West Bank in a meeting, which indicated a sharp increase in the level of violence in the region.

 

He added: The IDF has warned about the loss of control of the situation in the West Bank, and army officials, including the Chief of Staff, the Head of Central Command, the Head of Operations and others, admit that Jewish terrorism is a key factor in the escalation of the situation in the West Bank.
