Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Holy Mashhad: Amirullah Shamqadri, Deputy Security Minister of Khorasan Razavi Governorate, on the sidelines of the "Khadman Hamdel 2" conference, which was held with the aim of appreciating the Iranian and Afghan servants of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in the holy Mashhad city hall, in response to reporters' questions about the registration and education of Afghan students in schools, said that efforts are being made to provide education for all students in this province, even those who do not have documents or whose documents are incomplete.
Referring to the holding of joint cultural and religious programs between Iran and the country, the deputy security officer of the Khorasan Razavi governorate said that the lawful presence of the country's citizens and the use of their capacities in the economic, social, scientific, cultural and educational sectors are serious priorities for the officials of this province.
He considered the programs held in connection with Arbaeen Husseini and the last decade of Safar a symbol of empathy, solidarity and intimacy between the people of Iran and the country, and said that holding these events was the result of cooperation and synergy between popular organizations, non-governmental organizations, cultural and social activists and executive institutions in Iran and Khorasan Razavi.
Referring to the situation last year, Shamqadri stated that due to the failure to issue Iraqi visas, the country's pilgrims were not able to attend the Arbaeen ceremony; however, the grounds for visiting the shrine of Imam Reza (AS) were provided for them. He added that this year, both conditions have been met and nearly 12,000 pilgrims from the country have traveled to the holy shrines, and at the same time, they have been provided with the opportunity to visit Imam Reza (AS).
The deputy security officer of the Khorasan Razavi governorate emphasized the role of cultural and social programs in improving issues related to the country's immigrants, saying that these events can help strengthen relations and empathy between the two communities.
He considered the country to have significant capacities in the economic, social, scientific, cultural, and educational fields, and emphasized the need to use these capacities.
Shamqadri said: "The legal presence of citizens is important for all of us; it is important for the elites, officials, and social and cultural activists of the country."
In conclusion, he emphasized that the issue of citizens is a serious priority for the Khorasan Razavi officials, and efforts are being made to provide the conditions for their legal presence and better use of their capacities in this province.
According to reports from news sources and social media, the issue of Afghan students’ education in Iran has always been a major concern for immigrant families. Many students have faced serious obstacles to enrolling in schools due to lack of complete documents. In recent years, Iranian authorities have repeatedly emphasized the need to facilitate immigrants’ access to educational services.
In cyberspace, a number of Afghan users welcomed these statements and described them as “a positive step towards supporting the educational rights of immigrant children.” However, some have also called for the implementation of these promises and monitoring the performance of schools in this regard.
It is worth noting that Khorasan Razavi Province, with the largest population of Afghan immigrants in Iran, has always been a leader in providing educational, health, and cultural services to immigrants.
