The Islamic world today needs to reread the Prophet
The Cultural Advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan, emphasizing that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a messenger of mercy, morality, human dignity and unity of the Islamic nation, said that the Islamic world today needs to reread the Prophet's life and transform the teachings of the Great Prophet (PBUH) into a lifestyle more than ever.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Dr. Sayed Ruhollah Hosseini, Cultural Advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan, made these statements at the ceremony commemorating the birthdays of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH) and Hazrat Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif.

While congratulating him on this happy occasion, he said: The birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is not only a reminder of a historical event, but also a reminder of the dawn of light that was sent to guide humanity and save humanity from ignorance, oppression and darkness.

Referring to the verse “And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds,” Hosseini added: The Holy Quran introduces the mission of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) with the concept of “mercy for the worlds.” Therefore, the Prophet (PBUH) does not belong to a specific nation, land, or historical period, but rather his message of mercy, monotheism, and dignity is for all humans.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH), a model of ethics and human dignity
The Iranian cultural advisor in Afghanistan considered ethics to be one of the most important aspects of the personality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and, referring to the verse “And indeed, you are of great character,” said: God praises His Prophet with the attribute of “great character,” and this shows that ethics in the prophetic school is not a secondary and marginal matter, but rather one of the main pillars of the mission.

He added: Honesty, trustworthiness, forgiveness, kindness, justice, respect for people and attention to the disadvantaged are manifestations of prophetic ethics that the Islamic society needs today more than ever.

Hosseini emphasized: If the love of the Prophet (PBUH) is in our hearts, this love should also be seen in our social behavior; because prophetic knowledge should not be limited to holding ceremonies and expressing virtues, but should also find its way into our ethics, behavior and lifestyle.

Unity; the great legacy of the Prophet (PBUH)
The Iranian cultural advisor in Afghanistan stated that another important axis of the Prophet's (PBUH) life is the unity of the Islamic nation and said: The Prophet (PBUH) founded a society whose axis was monotheism and faith, and the Holy Quran also called on Muslims to hold on to the divine rope and avoid division.

Citing the verse “And hold fast to the rope of Allah all together and do not be divided,” he stated: Today, Shiites and Sunnis, despite their religious differences, share many fundamental principles such as monotheism, the Holy Quran, the prophethood of the Great Prophet (PBUH), and the Qiblah, and these commonalities can be a solid foundation for the solidarity and unity of the Islamic Ummah.

Hosseini emphasized: Differences of opinion should not turn into hostility and division, and the Islamic Ummah should turn its differences into an opportunity for dialogue, mutual understanding, and solidarity.

Science and culture; The Civilizing Legacy of the Prophet (PBUH)
He pointed out the place of science and knowledge in Islamic teachings and said: The Prophet (PBUH) accompanied his mission with education, purification and training of man, and the Holy Quran says: “He recites to them His verses, purifies them, and teaches them the Book and wisdom.”

The Iranian cultural advisor in Afghanistan added: The society that the Prophet (PBUH) built was a society of science, knowledge and training. Therefore, schools, universities, seminaries, cultural centers and scientific institutions in the Islamic world have an important mission in the fight against ignorance, backwardness and cultural disintegration.

He said: Muslim youth should know that the future of the Islamic nation depends on their knowledge, creativity, ethics, and identity, and the young generation can shape a new and humane civilization by utilizing science and technology and relying on Islamic values.

Justice and defending human dignity
Hosseini listed justice and human dignity among other fundamental teachings of the school of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and stated: In the prophetic society, a person was not valued because of wealth, power, ethnicity, and social status; rather, the standard of value was faith, piety, and humanity.

He added: Defending the oppressed and standing up against oppression is part of the moral and social responsibility of Muslims, and the issue of Palestine and the suffering of oppressed nations around the world call upon the conscience of the Islamic nation to take responsibility.

The Prophet (PBUH), the Guide of Contemporary Man
The Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan continued, referring to the conditions of today's world, saying: Despite scientific and technological advances, contemporary man is still facing crises such as war, violence, discrimination, injustice, extremism, moral collapse and a crisis of spirituality.

He continued: In such circumstances, the world needs the message of mercy, morality, spirituality and dignity of the Great Prophet (PBUH) more than ever.

Referring to the verse: "Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah there was for you a good example," Hosseini said: The Holy Quran introduces the Prophet (PBUH) as a "good example." Therefore, the Prophet's life is not only for studying history, but can also be a guide for today's human life in the individual, family, social and cultural spheres.

From the love of the Prophet (PBUH) to following the Prophetic path
In the end, referring to the verse “Say, if you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you,” he stated: True love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) finds meaning in following his path and ethics.

The Cultural Advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan noted: If we want to summarize the message of the birth of the Great Prophet (PBUH) in one sentence, we must say that Muhammad (PBUH) is the prophet of mercy, ethics, unity, knowledge and justice, and our duty is to transfer these values from ceremonies to the context of life.
