Moscow: G20 members call for immediate end to US-Iran war
Russian Finance Minister said that G20 member countries expressed concern about rising energy prices at the group's finance ministers' meeting in North Carolina.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to TASS, Russian Finance Minister Anton Silvanov said on Saturday that participants in the G20 finance ministers' meeting in North Carolina, USA, called for a quick end to the war between the US and Iran.

He said that these countries also expressed concern about rising energy prices, adding that the issue of a US-Iran war was raised by Western countries at the meeting.

Silvanov said in an interview with TASS: "We discussed access to energy resources and chemical fertilizers, the production of which is largely dependent on energy raw materials."

He emphasized: "It is clear that everyone is concerned about the situation around the Strait of Hormuz, the volume of oil supplies from the Persian Gulf countries and energy prices."

This comes at a time when senior American officials, including US President Donald Trump and US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant, have claimed that the Strait of Hormuz will become "a worthless stretch of water" in the coming years and that oil transportation will be diverted to land-based pipelines.
