Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to RIA Novosti, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a three-day halt to attacks on Kiev; the decision was made in connection with the preparation of contacts and negotiations with the American side.
US President Donald Trump said yesterday that his envoys would present a proposal to end the conflict in Ukraine during their visit to Moscow. Trump did not disclose the details of the initiative.
Putin emphasized on Tuesday that Moscow was ready to talk to all parties that wanted to negotiate. The Russian president also said that the US president's envoys were always welcome guests and the Kremlin was happy to cooperate with them.
Putin had previously stressed that Russia was ready to resume negotiations and discuss all the details and issues raised in the Alaska talks in August 2025.
This comes as the US President's special envoy and his son-in-law have arrived in Moscow, the Russian capital, for consultations on Ukrainian peace.
