Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to reports, about 70 of these martyrs are children. The ceremony, which has been described as one of the largest funerals in Palestinian history in terms of the number of bodies buried, was held in the presence of thousands of people, including relatives of the victims and local figures.
The bodies of these 100 martyrs, mainly from the "Rahim", "Balawi", "Malka", "Qanbar" and "Salmi" families, have been pulled out from under the rubble in recent days during the second phase of the rubble removal project that began on July 19.
According to reports, 55 of these martyrs are from a family called "Malika" who were martyred during an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood about two and a half years ago.
The Gaza Civil Defense Organization, announcing that the rubble-clearing operation was carried out despite a severe shortage of equipment and heavy machinery, emphasized that the bodies of more than a thousand other martyrs still remain under the rubble of destroyed buildings throughout the Gaza Strip.
The funeral ceremony, which was held by escorting the holy bodies of the martyrs along the route to the "Al-Ahli" cemetery in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, took place while the Israeli regime's attacks on various areas of Gaza continue.
The Gaza Ministry of Health also announced on Sunday the latest statistics on the victims of the genocidal war, increasing the number of martyrs to 73,651 and the number of injured to 174,575.
