Nepal flood death toll rises to 1,355; 4,996 still missing
The latest figures released by Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority show that the number of people killed in floods and landslides in the country has increased to 1,355.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to these figures, which were updated as of Monday, another 4,996 people are still missing and the search operation is ongoing to find them.

The disaster occurred on August 26 (September 4) in the Rasova region near the Nepal-China border, due to the collapse of a glacier. The resulting flood and mudslide destroyed many villages and infrastructure along the Bhutkushi and Trishuli rivers.

Despite the passage of more than 10 days since the incident, the search operation is progressing slowly due to the difficult access to the area and lack of equipment, and there are still concerns that the number of victims will increase.
