The terrorist US president's action in publishing a fake image claiming that a large part of Mexico belongs to the United States prompted a firm response from the Mexican president.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Mexican President Sheinbaum, in rejecting this image published by Donald Trump, said that Mexico is not a colony of any foreign country.

The Mexican president wrote on X-Net: "In the month of our homeland, we reaffirm that Mexico is not and will not be a colony or protectorate of any foreign country. With pride, we are a free, independent and sovereign country."

In Trump's image, the United States showed Mexico and Canada in the colors of the American flag, while other territories were also depicted under the flag of the United States.

Sheinbaum's message was published amid renewed tensions between Mexico and the United States over security, trade and immigration.

The Mexican president has repeatedly responded to the Trump administration’s positions, emphasizing his administration’s intention to maintain a cooperative relationship with Washington, while emphasizing the importance of Mexico’s national sovereignty.

The latest incident came after Trump proposed changing the name of the US state of New Mexico to “New America.” Trump shared an image in which the word “Mexico” had been crossed out and replaced with “America.”

Trump has previously promoted changes in geographical names, including the US government’s use of “Gulf of America” for the Gulf of Mexico.

Mexico and the US share about 3,145 kilometers of border and maintain extensive economic ties.
