Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Western media outlets have officially acknowledged that the Bab al-Mandab Strait has come under the complete control of the Yemeni army.
Agence France-Presse (AFP), citing a Yemeni government official, reported that Yemeni forces have successfully taken control of Mayun Island, thereby consolidating their dominance over the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait.
Two Yemeni sources told Reuters that armed groups affiliated with Saudi Arabia have withdrawn from the island of Perim (Mayun), located in the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait.
This development follows the recent capture of the port city of Al-Mukha by Yemeni army forces, which forced troops loyal to the resigned government to retreat southward toward the city of Dhubab.
The Yemeni army is expected to issue a statement regarding the ongoing field battles soon.
Yemeni armed forces announced that they would release a statement detailing a massive and unique military operation against Saudi Arabia and its affiliated forces.
It is worth noting that the Yemeni army seized a number of vehicles and military equipment left behind by Saudi-affiliated forces after they fled the battlefield.
