Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Kabul: A high-level delegation representing the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Emirate led by Major General Mawlawi Zainullah Aber, Director General of the Ministry’s Office, and Major General Mawlawi Abdul Rahim Saqib, Chief Aide to the Ministry attended the international security meeting in China.
During the meeting, the delegation shared the government's perspectives and positions regarding security policies, the domestic security situation, and regional and international security cooperation with the other participants.
The delegation emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring that the country's territory is not used against other nations.
The Ministry of Interior delegation also called upon the international community to cooperate with the country in areas such as alternative livelihoods, agriculture, the economy, and the fight against narcotics.
According to the delegation, the country seeks relations with the international community, provided that such relations respect sovereignty, independence, national interests, and the legitimate aspirations of the people.
Describing China as a key neighbor, the delegation emphasized its readiness to expand cooperation with regional countries in combating insecurity, narcotics, organized crime, smuggling, and other security threats. An international security conference hosted by China took place in Beijing, attended by representatives from over 100 countries and international organizations; the event focused on addressing shared security challenges, combating terrorism and transnational crime, and strengthening regional cooperation.
Regional security cooperation—particularly regarding the fight against narcotics and organized crime—is a key aspect of the country's relations with its neighbors and the wider region; the participation of a delegation from the Ministry of Interior in this conference underscores Kabul's efforts to bolster security engagement with regional nations.
