Pezeshkian: Iran-Oman Understanding on Strait of Hormuz to Be Finalized Tomorrow
Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, announced progress in negotiations between Tehran and Muscat regarding the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that a framework for the strait's shipping route has been agreed upon, and this understanding is set to be finalized tomorrow during a meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Oman, after which it will be announced to the relevant international maritime organization.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – International Service: Speaking to the news network *India Today* about the consultations between Iran and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Pezeshkian said, "We held discussions with Oman concerning the Strait of Hormuz. We have, in fact, reached an understanding on a specific route framework."

He added that on Monday, foreign ministers from the very Arab nations—among whom—he noted—conflict and discord were predicted to arise, are scheduled to meet in Oman to reach an agreement on the Strait of Hormuz route and announce the agreed-upon status to the relevant international maritime organization.

The Iranian President emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz route would remain open in accordance with international law, provided that the United States desists from what he termed "cowardly aggression and transgressions."

Pezeshkian clarified that the understanding regarding the status of the Strait of Hormuz is being pursued with the participation of regional countries and within the framework of international law.
