Afghanistan says would notify UNSC on ‘Pakistan attacks’
The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has indicated that if Pakistan “does not stop attacking” Afghanistan, the issue would be taken to United Nations Security Council, a news report published on the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (Unama) stated.

Faramarz Tamanna, the Deputy Spokesperson for the Afghan Foreign Ministry, on Sunday, said that “peace shall be maintained in the country regardless of Pakistan’s support.”

She added that “Afghanistan will continue to protect its citizens and their rights and will not compromise the sovereignty of the country.”

She condemned what she said were Pakistan’s acts of border violation and said that the issue would be taken to UN Security Council if negotiations fail.

The Afghan ambassador in Pakistan also urged Islamabad to stop what he called cross-border attacks. (DawnNews)
