In parliament:

The security officials' interpellation turned to question and answer

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA), Kabul , 25 Jul 2012 - 18:20

Kabul, (AVA)- After half a month break, the MPs in its first session decided to interpellate the security officials due to their insufficiency of providing security of the political figures.

Gol Padshah Majidi, the Paktika representative in parliament, said the lists of MPs agreed with interpellating the security officials were revealed by the parliament staff council.

Majidi accused the parliament staff council of conspiracy and national betray.

Following the Ahmad Khan Samangani, the MP, assassination and rocket attacks by Pakistan in western Afghanistan, the MPs resolved to interpellate security officials.

Some MPs, meanwhile, sharply criticized the parliament staff council for delaying the security officials' interpellation and asked the council to elucidate.

Some MPs believe the interior, defense and foreign ministers and also the national security directorate interpellation signals the MPs conspiracy.

They said the parliament in lieu of engaging in interpellation should take the security issues in Afghanistan borders under their close scrutiny since it is related to Afghanistan interests.
