A Strategic Analysis of the Humanitarian Catastrophe in Gaza and the Responsibility of the Islamic Ummah for It
1. The True Nature of the Gaza War: A Battle with America, Not Just Israel
No sane person can ignore the truth of this battle today: the Gaza War is a proxy war between Islam and the American-Zionist system of domination. Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Jordan, and other governments that have oil, armies, and resources at their disposal have not only done nothing for the people of Gaza, but have also openly become backstabbers by normalizing relations with the Zionist regime.
From now on, it will be difficult to use the word “nation” unless the ranks are purged of hypocrites and mercenaries.

More shameful than the crime is the silence that legitimizes it. Institutions such as Al-Azhar and Umm Al-Qura, which could have been the eloquent voices of Islam, have turned to accommodating the pharaohs of the era. Al-Azhar’s official silence in the face of the Gaza genocide, the deletion of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayyeb’s statement on supporting the Palestinian people, and the appeasement of the Sisi regime all indicate the decline of official spirituality and the transformation of the religious institution.
If the cry of truth remains silent from religious pulpits, what difference will there be between the mosque and the palace of the sultans?
4. The mission of true scholars: a general outcry and a departure from deadly neutrality
Aren’t scholars today the heirs of the prophets? If they do not confront oppression like the prophets, how can they be considered religious scholars? The mission of the scholars at this stage is not to issue clichéd statements, but to issue a fatwa to denounce the generality of the Islamic religion, to declare the religious prohibition of silence in the face of genocide, and to move to break the siege.
Islamic scholars must:
- Condemn the silence and indifference of religious institutions.
- Expose the traitorous regimes.
- Call on Muslims to boycott the Zionist regime and its allies.
- Issue a clear fatwa: Political, military support, or even silence against Israeli crimes is participation in infidelity.
5. Immediate Actions of the Islamic Ummah: From Civil Disobedience to Popular Pressure
It is obligatory for the Islamic Ummah to initiate the following strategic actions on an individual and collective level:
A) Political Actions:
- Expulsion of the ambassadors of the United States, Britain, France and Germany from Islamic countries
- Closing the embassies of the Zionist regime and stopping the normalization process
- Canceling all military, cultural and economic contracts with the supporters of Zionism
B) Popular Actions:
- Forming popular convoys to break the siege of Gaza
- Holding rallies of millions in front of the embassies of the traitorous regimes
- Boycotting Zionist goods and the companies supporting them in the West
C) Media Actions:
- Exposing the colonial-Zionist nature of the Arab rulers on social media
- Launching continuous campaigns to defend Gaza in 30 living languages of the world
6. The Responsibility of Islamic Centers and Elites in the Islamic World
Islamic centers, including seminaries, Islamic universities, and religious cultural institutions, must emerge from their passive state and become the command center of spiritual and propaganda resistance.
Key Tasks:
- Developing strategic plans for cultural, legal, economic, and media support for Gaza
- Holding global elite meetings to design a roadmap for the liberation of Palestine
- Issuing daily and live statements from Friday prayer platforms, media, and television networks
7. Divine and historical warning; silence, betrayal, and joining the tyrant
The Quran warns:
“And do not lean on those who wronged, so that the Fire will touch you…” (Hud/113)
“Do not lean on the wrongdoers, lest the Fire engulf you.”
If the scholars and the Islamic Ummah do not raise even the slightest cry of truth today, they will be gathered with the oppressors. The future generation will ask:
Where were we on that day when the children of Gaza were dying of hunger?
Why did our cries not turn into cries at that moment when the citizens of Gaza were being dragged into dust and blood?
Conclusion and Final Call
Gaza is the signboard of the fate of the Islamic Ummah. Either we will stand by its oppressed and walk on the straight path of history; or we will burn in the whirlpool of indifference and hypocrisy, with the traitors and the Pharaohs, in the flames of divine wrath.
In conclusion, we declare with full faith:
Al-Quds is ours, Gaza is the stronghold of our honor, and victory belongs to the resistance.
