Muharram and Safar; The Opportunity for Ashura Honor and Authority and Why Our Neglect
Seyyed Zaman Ali Chavoshi/ Considering that Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) lived his life, method, and character in a way that is dear to him and today he is at the peak of honor in this world and the hereafter, as according to the authentic hadiths of Islamic schools, Hazrat Sayyid al-Shuhada (AS) is the leader of the youth of Paradise and more than a thousand years after that event, the millions of gatherings of Hussaini Arbaeen are unparalleled and unparalleled in human history, it is not surprising that he has such a position.
The reason why Imam Hussein (AS) lived a life that is dear to him and today is an unparalleled example of honor in the Islamic school is his lack of influence from the desires of the ego. Before fighting the external enemies of his era (Yazid and the lineage of Yazid), he and his loyal companions resisted the desires of the ego, which is the internal enemy, and tamed the rebellious ego traits.

Humiliation is the opposite of honor and is derived from the concept of lack of resistance and impenetrability against the enemy; Like cotton and sponge, which water easily penetrates. On the other hand, dignity is derived from the concept of resistance, resistance and impermeability; like iron against water. The same rule is true for humans. The animalistic characteristics of humans are like pores through which enemies can penetrate.

On Ashura, before the physical battle, the sensual characteristics of the Imam and his companions were subjected to the attacks and temptations of Yazid and the Yazidis. History is proof that the Yazid regime repeatedly offered government positions, wealth and proposals to influence and dominate the Imam and his companions, but due to their resistance and perseverance, all efforts failed and became a clear example of the concept of dignity in history.

But why, despite this, do the followers and lovers of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) not achieve the dignity and authority they deserve after the celebrations of Ashura and Safar? According to the author, the most important reason is the lack of resistance and impenetrability against the temptations that are brought upon their souls by human and jinn enemies.

For example, we claim to follow Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), but when we are torn between supporting the right or wrong front, our hearts tremble or we remain silent. The fear of losing our wealth, life, reputation, or family displacement prevents us from standing up to the enemy, and we are humiliated by the influence of fear and terror. Sometimes, instead of influencing through fear, the enemy overwhelms us by stimulating our sensual desires, and we are humiliated again.

Another important reason is the lack of movement and organization. Just as sunlight melts hard snow and turns dry land into mud and then a torrential stream, our blending with the scientific essence of divine scholars can move society and transform it. Unfortunately, many of those at the forefront of religious and scientific movements are not themselves involved in that knowledge, and their words are colorless and hollow. For this reason, movements are temporary and without long-term effects.

The result is that according to the Quranic injunctions, "Those who do not change their own souls will never change their fate." No real transformation or revolution is possible except with a firm will to transform the soul and master it.

So there are two ways to reach the peak of authority and dignity:

First, fighting the internal enemy and becoming resistant to the influence of external enemies;

Second, blending with the knowledge and understanding of scholars and moving on a movement and organizational path.

In conclusion, it is appropriate to mention an organization that has been at the forefront of intellectual and cultural transformation in the region and the country for more than three decades and has achieved many achievements, and to express gratitude and thanks to its serving elements. The Center for Cultural, Social and Educational Activities has worked towards the upliftment of society with more than three decades of consistent activity and has been successful.
