From Patience to Protection: Reflection of the Islamic Emirate
Rahmatullah Faizan / The recent remarks of Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, at a press conference in Kabul are a clear reflection of the security, diplomatic and defense policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. In this official position, several basic principles of the Emirate's policy towards internal security and regional relations, especially with Pakistan, were clearly revealed.
First, the emphasis that "security across Afghanistan is under full control" indicates the success of the Islamic Emirate's security policy in ensuring stability across the country. The Islamic Emirate has been able to contain internal threats and prevent any widespread unrest and insecurity by relying on its regular security and intelligence forces. This achievement comes at a time when internal and external enemies are trying to destabilize Afghanistan with negative propaganda, but the reality on the ground shows that order and the rule of law are in place in all provinces.

Second, Mujahid pointed to the "centers of sedition on Pakistani soil" and the role of some biased circles in the country's military structure, expressing the clear policy of the Islamic Emirate against external threats. According to the official policy of the Emirate, Afghanistan's security is a red line and no country or group is allowed to use its territory against Afghanistan or engage in destructive activities. The Islamic Emirate emphasizes that the root of most of the recent terrorist attacks and explosions is outside the borders and the Afghan government is obliged to use all legitimate defensive means to neutralize them.

Third, Mujahid's warning that "no aggression will go unanswered" is actually the interpreter of the Islamic Emirate's defense and national policy. As an independent and sovereign country, Afghanistan will respond legitimately not only to military aggression but also to any violation of air and land. The Islamic Emirate believes that patience and silence in the face of repeated violations will give the enemy more courage; Therefore, active border defense is part of the fundamental principles of the country's security policy.

Fourth, in another part of his speech, Mujahid mentioned specific names of ISIS leaders in Khorasan and pointed to their activities in Pakistan, and raised the official demand of the Islamic Emirate to the Pakistani government to take serious action against the destructive groups. This demand is not made from a position of hostility but from a position of sincere and regional cooperation. The policy of the Islamic Emirate is based on the principle of "peaceful coexistence and mutual respect"; But if a neighboring country does not prevent its territory from threatening Afghanistan, the responsibility for the consequences will be on that country itself.

Fifth, this position is placed within the framework of the Islamic Emirate's macro policy towards the region and the world, which is based on three principles: independence, non-interference and cooperation based on common interests. The Islamic Emirate does not want conflict and hostility with any neighboring country, but will not allow any power or group to target the territorial integrity, national security and internal unity of Afghanistan.

Finally, the recent meeting and the statements of the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate should be interpreted as a clear and transparent declaration of the Afghan government's policy towards external threats. The Islamic Emirate, while emphasizing the full security of the country and the ability to respond to any aggression, continues to adhere to the principles of regional cooperation, understanding and dialogue with neighbors. The ultimate goal of this policy is to recognize Afghanistan as an independent, secure and stable country in the region and never become a field of competition and destruction of others.
