International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People; A Wake-Up Call of the Nation from Kabul to Gaza
November 29, the day that the United Nations has named “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People,” is no longer just a calendar event; it has become a symbol of a global uprising. Previously, this event took place on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan; which was called Quds Day by the decree of Imam Khomeini (RA), but today the protests against the crimes of the Zionist regime have gone beyond the Muslim Ummah.
When students at Columbia, Berkeley, and Oxford universities sit-in for Palestine, when hundreds of thousands of people fill the streets in London, Paris, Berlin, Johannesburg, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur, when even in the Arab countries that are signatories to the Abraham Accords, people rise up against normalization, all of this is a direct result of 76 years of relentless resistance by the Palestinian people.
In fact, this wave of protests shows that the Palestinian issue is no longer just a “regional issue”; it has become the main axis of the global struggle against neo-colonialism. The generation that is now shouting the slogan of Palestinian freedom in the West is the same generation that previously protested against racial discrimination, against unbridled capitalism, and against endless wars. Today, Palestine is the symbol of all these struggles.

Why do the hearts of the people of Afghanistan beat with Palestine?
In no country in the world have the people felt the pain of Palestine so deeply as in Afghanistan. The reasons are clear:
1. Both nations have experienced a long and bloody occupation: Palestine under the boots of the Zionists since 1948, and Afghanistan under the occupation of the Soviet Union, the United States, and NATO from 1979 to 2021.

The shared experience of occupation has made the people of Afghanistan understand the suffering of the Palestinians not out of sympathy, but out of “historical experience.”

2. Both have stood up to the world's most advanced weapons with minimal resources and have won: Afghan mujahideen brought the Soviet Union and America to their knees with Kalashnikovs and faith; Palestinian mujahideen have driven the regime equipped with atomic bombs to despair with homemade missiles and tunnels.
These asymmetrical resistances have become part of the identity of the two nations.
3. Both have fallen victim to "imposed peace" and "deal" projects:
Just as Trump's plan wanted to take Jerusalem from the Palestinians forever, there were also numerous plans to permanently divide Afghanistan and impose a puppet state.
These efforts show that foreign powers define peace not as an end to war, but as an imposition of their desired structures.
4. Both nations consider martyrdom an honor and death in the way of God the sweetest end to life.
For this reason, in the mosques of Kabul, Herat, Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif, prayers for the victory of Gaza are always held, and the Palestinian flag is raised alongside the white flag of the Islamic Emirate.
This religious and historical identification has made Afghanistan one of the most passionate supporters of the Palestinian cause.

The Deal of the Century: A Plan to Save Israel, Not a Peace Plan for Palestine
Donald Trump still proudly speaks of the “Deal of the Century” and claims to have written the greatest peace plan in the history of the Middle East.
But the enormity of his lie becomes apparent when we learn about the clauses of this deal:
- Jerusalem would be completely ceded to Israel
- The right of return of millions of Palestinian refugees would be permanently abolished
- Illegal Zionist settlements would be officially declared part of Israel
- The Palestinian army would be disarmed
- In return, several billion dollars of Saudi and Emirati oil money would be given to the Palestinians to silence them!

This was no longer a peace plan; It was an imposed surrender agreement that had only one goal:
to save the Zionist regime from internal collapse and a crisis of global legitimacy. The same regime whose economy is in free fall today after several months of war in Gaza and whose soldiers are unwilling to return to the front.
More importantly, this deal showed that the US and its allies are more concerned about “Israeli security” than “Palestinian rights”; an issue that has practically destroyed the nations’ trust in Western mediation.

The Sharm el-Sheikh peace; the political satire of the century!
Trump keeps repeating that “I ended eight wars in the world.”
One of these “ends of wars” was apparently the Sharm el-Sheikh ceasefire between Hamas and Israel in November 2024.
But the reality is something else:
- That ceasefire lasted only 48 hours! The very next day, Israel bombed Rafah again, then Nussirat, and then Jabalia.
- If this is called the “end of war”, then Trump should be given the Nobel Prize for Humor!
Just like the Doha agreement with the Taliban, which the US claimed was a “historic peace”. History repeats itself for those who do not learn.
This repetition shows that structural crises in the region will not be solved by temporary agreements; as long as the roots of oppression remain, war will remain.

A rogue regime that knows no borders
Israel is no longer content with Gaza and the West Bank; It has become a direct threat to the entire region:
- Attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus
- Assassination of Iranian scientists and senior commanders and the 12-day war
- Repeated bombing of Damascus and Aleppo airports
- Airstrike on Beirut suburb and assassination of senior Hezbollah commanders
- Bombing of Hodeidah port and Yemeni power plants
And...
These actions show that Israel sees itself beyond international law and that global structures are practically no obstacle to it. In such circumstances, regional solidarity is not a choice, but a security necessity.

Final message to the Islamic Emirate and all political currents in Afghanistan
The current rulers of the Islamic Emirate, the scholars, the influential ethnic groups, the educated youth and all political figures are expected to make support for Palestine a policy Make it permanent, permanent, and a priority; not just on November 29, not just in special Friday sermons.
Defending Palestine must be at the forefront of every statement, every international meeting, every official speech, and every diplomatic meeting. Because Palestine is the red line of the nation's honor and the touchstone of the sincerity of all claimants. As long as even an inch of Palestinian land is occupied, no Muslim anywhere in the world will see peace.
Afghanistan can also play a special spiritual role in supporting the Palestinian people, relying on the experience of four decades of war and resistance; a role that goes beyond politics and diplomacy, and is tied to the historical identity of this land.
