In recent years, solidarity with Palestine has grown significantly not only in Islamic countries, but also globally. However, the complex political and military situation in the region, especially during the Trump presidency, shows that the Zionist regime continues its efforts to occupy Palestinian lands and presents various plans to legitimize its occupation.
The global and global awakening that we are witnessing today is the result of years of continuous resistance by the Palestinian people against the Zionist regime.
From the very first days and years of the occupation of Palestine, this land has faced various problems and challenges. Despite the very difficult conditions and brutal repression, the Palestinian people have never surrendered and have always raised their voice against oppression to the world through their political, cultural and military resistance. This resistance has been effective not only within the borders of Palestine but also in the global arena and has strengthened the solidarity of nations with the Palestinian people.
Regarding the reasons for the solidarity of the Afghan people with Palestine, it is necessary to pay serious attention to the religious, cultural and historical commonalities between the two nations. Palestine and Afghanistan have had common experiences throughout history, especially in the face of foreign occupation and aggression.
On the other hand, the people of Afghanistan have always been sensitive to global oppression and recognize solidarity with the Palestinian people as a human and religious responsibility. Supporting Palestine is not only a religious duty but also a human and moral obligation against the dominating and occupying regimes.
One of the US actions was the so-called "Deal of the Century" plan, which was intended to provide a solution to end the Palestinian-Israeli war. However, the reality is that this plan, contrary to the claims made, was not designed only to free Palestine from the war, but its main goal was to save the usurping Israeli regime from the critical and desperate situation it was in.
Trump and his team tried to increase the pressure on Palestine by using methods such as sanctions and political pressure, but these measures failed to achieve a real and just peace.
In this regard, the "Sharm el-Sheikh Peace", which was another attempt to save Israel from global crises, failed from the very beginning. This plan, which mainly dealt with Palestinian lands, especially Al-Quds Al-Sharif, could not in any way lay the groundwork for a lasting peace. In fact, this plan only considered the interests of the usurping Zionist regime and, without considering the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people, only benefited the occupiers. This bitter defeat for the United States and Israel is a reminder of other failures in its policies in West Asia, especially considering that Trump claimed to have been able to end eight wars, while none of these wars achieved the desired results.
The Zionist regime has not only directly targeted the Palestinian people, but also other countries in West Asia with its aggressive attacks. Among the targeted countries are Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Qatar. These attacks not only negatively affect the security and stability of the region, but also strain the relations of various Islamic countries with each other and cause more distrust between nations and governments. If the Islamic Ummah does not stand up to this rebellious and criminal regime, the people of the region will never find peace.
In the current situation, it is essential that the authorities of the Islamic Emirate and political figures of Afghanistan continuously and actively declare their support for the Palestinian people and take a firm stance in condemning the Zionist regime. Support for Palestine should not be limited to special days or special occasions, but should always be a priority of Afghanistan’s foreign policy.
Since Afghanistan itself has many experiences in confronting occupiers and global arrogance, continuous solidarity with Palestine can be a symbol of the struggle against domination and injustice.
The International Day of Solidarity with Palestine is not only an opportunity to commemorate the resistance of the Palestinian people, but can also act as a warning sign to the international community against the dangers of the continued occupation and warmongering of the Zionist regime. Support for Palestine should go beyond special occasions and be raised as a fundamental principle in global policymaking. In the meantime, the awakening of nations, especially in Islamic countries, and the adoption of stronger positions against the actions of the Zionist regime could be an effective step towards establishing peace and justice in the Middle East.
