In this note, emphasizing the two main areas of military confrontation and social presence, Hosseini Mazari shows that the resistance of Iranian forces against a coalition of great powers has not only relied on official structures, but has also benefited from deep popular support and national spirit. This synergy, along with the continuous presence of the people on the social scene for more than forty days and nights, has played a decisive role in maintaining national cohesion and creating deterrence.
He also addressed the prominent role of cultural, media, and security activities, as well as the coordinated management of executive agencies; factors that, together, while transmitting the message of this movement to the global level and creating empathy in public opinion, have led to maintaining internal stability and continuity of service delivery, and have paved the way for the formation of an effective model of resistance in various dimensions.
The full text of the note by Hojjatoleslam Walmuslimin Seyyed Issa Hosseini Mazari follows:
The stability and cohesion of the Iranian people in loyalty to the leadership, the system of the Islamic Republic, and the territorial integrity of this country and their support, at this juncture, in two distinct areas, showed an unprecedented and remarkable manifestation; In a way that can be assessed as rare and even unique in the contemporary history of the world in terms of its scope, continuity and simultaneity of different levels of participation.
First, the presence in the military confrontation; where Iranian forces stood up to a coalition of powers with highly advanced military capabilities, including the United States and the Zionist regime, with the support of international allies and some mercenary regional actors. This presence was not limited to official structures, but also had the support of the people and national spirit, which gave it depth and continuity.
Second, the presence in the social arena; a continuous and organized presence that continued not in a short period, but for more than forty days and nights, and that too in difficult conditions, accompanied by threats and continuous air attacks. Meanwhile, the connection between the “square” and the “street” as two complementary areas played a decisive role in maintaining national cohesion and creating deterrent power and even the ability to strike. In this context, the role of eulogists and ritual activists was also significant; people who, by utilizing epic literature and creating a motivational atmosphere, were able to play an effective and beyond-expected role in strengthening public morale and guiding public opinion to create this connection.
At the same time, cultural, propaganda and media activities, a large part of which was led by the social body and especially experienced forces in these areas, played a key role in reflecting and transmitting the message of this movement. These efforts caused the narrative formed domestically to cross borders and be reflected at the regional and global levels. The result of this process was the formation of a kind of empathy and unanimity among the world's public opinion and even a revision of some official approaches at the government level to support the Iranian uprising; a process that naturally increased political and psychological pressure on the opposing sides.
In the meantime, the role of Iran's security forces was also of particular importance. These forces, along with the field and social developments, were responsible for the heavy responsibility of neutralizing threats, managing risks, and ensuring the country's national security. The complex and multi-layered nature of these missions required that measures be followed around the clock and with high precision. It seems that if this layer of management and protection did not exist, achieving the achievements of the military field and the social street would have faced more serious challenges.
At the governance level, the Iranian government and executive managers, from the president to various levels of management in the center and provinces, tried to continue the process of running affairs with minimal disruption, while keeping pace with the specific conditions of this country. Maintaining executive functions, continuing to provide public services, and preventing widespread disruption in daily life are among the characteristics of this part of crisis management; which in wartime conditions, indicates a high level of institutional readiness and coordination.
Overall, the formation of this multi-layered mechanism, including the military field, the social scene, the culture and media sphere, the security field, and the management structure, presents a picture of a combined resistance model that can strengthen the Islamic Republic's position as an emerging player in regional and global equations. It is obvious that the continuation of this situation and its transformation into a sustainable trend can lead to the consolidation of this position and even its further promotion in the future.
Accordingly, the role played by the Iranian people in all these areas deserves attention, appreciation, and comprehensive support; support that, if continued and strengthened, both domestically and in the regional and international arenas, could influence the path of future developments in this country, the region, and the world, and make Iran a superior regional and even international power that, alongside other powers with veto power, will gain a serious presence in the United Nations Security Council.
