Traces of Organized Networks in Iran’s Anti-Immigration Wave
Extensive research on more than 200,000 tweets on the social network X (formerly Twitter) shows that the anti-immigration wave in Iran is the result of the activities of an organized network that promotes racism and intensifies social crises by publishing coordinated messages.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: According to IRAAF, while there has been a lot of pressure from domestic and foreign anti-immigration activists on supporters of Afghan citizens, some cyberspace activists have managed to uncover the behind-the-scenes of this anti-immigration wave and its motivations through extensive research.

Uncovering the Behind-the-Scenes: How is a Movement Led?
The story began when Hamid Reza Ahmadi, a Twitter activist in Iran, posted a video about the history of Afghan immigration to Iran a few months ago. In a short time, hundreds of people flocked to his page and posted offensive and inappropriate comments under his posts on YouTube and Twitter. The interesting thing was that these comments were published in a specific time frame and their content was consistent with each other. This strange coordination prompted Hamidreza Ahmadi to investigate this area.

By collecting 200,000 tweets related to the hashtag #Afghan_Deportation_National_Demand, Ahmadi managed to prepare a report on the activities of these groups and their goals behind them. By examining similar examples in other countries, such as England and Germany, this cyberspace activist observed clear differences in the way immigrants are deported between Iran and these countries. In the United States, there are special organizations such as "ICE" to deport Mexican immigrants and other undocumented people, which spend huge amounts of money to carry out these operations.

According to global reports, in recent years, the cost of deporting immigrants in countries such as the United States has exceeded $8.5 billion. In Iran, according to officials, one million people must be deported annually, which is almost the same cost as other countries. However, many countries, after experiencing the high costs and ineffectiveness of deportation projects, seek to create targeted and media waves, which can ultimately lead to the emergence of a phenomenon such as fascism.

Traces of a coherent, non-Iranian network
The results of Ahmadi’s research showed that 180,000 tweets using the hashtag #Afghan_Deportation_National_Demand were published by only 7,000 people, and 50 of these people shared a third of the tweets.
Another point that stands out is that a significant portion of these tweets, especially 25 percent of them, were published in the early hours of the morning, which suggests that some of these people are probably operating outside the country.
The charts published by Ahmadi also show that these tweets were reposted by an organized and coherent network, which indicates a precise and purposeful planning behind this wave.

Racism and its consequences for Iran
According to the research findings, according to IRAF, the anti-immigrant wave in Iran is more of a planned and directed movement than the real demands of the people. These people not only want to expel Afghans from Iran, but also seek to promote racism and segregation among different minorities in the country. According to experts, this approach not only does not address the problems of immigrants, but can also lead to further social and political crises in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Afghans are not only not the cause of Iran's sanctions and economic problems, but the country's economic problems are caused by more complex factors. Therefore, expelling Afghan nationals will not be a solution to improving Iran's economic situation, and in fact, such policies can cause inflation and more problems.

Conclusion
According to IRAF, the wave of anti-immigrant sentiment observed in Iran today is a planned phenomenon with a specific trend behind it. What is necessary is a closer examination of these trends and raising public awareness so that people are aware of the truth of the matter. Racism and hostility towards immigrants only fuel social crises, and fundamental reforms in economic and social policies must be addressed to improve the economic situation.
