Arbaeen of Hussein; An Extension of Ashura and a Humanizing University for the Free People of the World
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Herat: The weekly discussion “Afghanistan Today; Challenges, Opportunities and a Plan for Reconstruction and Renovation” was held, hosted by the Afghan Voice Agency (AVA), with the presence of two cultural and religious experts, and in it, Arbaeen of Hussein was examined as a lasting trend, a humanizing school and a historical movement.
Sayed Abdullah Kazemi, a cultural and media activist in Herat, said in the meeting: “Arbaeen is not the end of mourning, but rather the red line of Ashura and an extension of the Husseini movement. After thousands and hundreds of years, the hearts of millions of people still beat with the cry of "Labbayk Ya Hussein" and the free people of the world stand against oppression and tyranny.
He added: "Arba'in is a great movement and a cry from the depths of history that awakens dormant consciences. According to the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) creates a heat in the hearts of believers that will never be extinguished. Arba'in is the culmination of this heat and a symbol of loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the completion of the mission of Hazrat Zaynab (SA)."
Referring to the philosophy of the Ashura uprising, Kazemi said: "Imam Hussein (AS) rose up to reform society, seek justice, freedom and brotherhood. We must also move on the path of seeking truth and justice. The Arba'in march is a renewal of allegiance to the Imam of the Time (AS), and the presence of followers of different religions and sects in this ceremony is a crushing response to oppression, tyranny and anti-Islamic powers."
He also considered the unity of the Islamic nation and the soft power of Muslims to be other achievements of Arbaeen and emphasized that the media should play their role in introducing this global movement.
Continuing, Ishaq Amini, a professor at the seminary in Herat, referring to the words of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) about Imam Hussein (AS), said: “In the martyrdom of my son Hussein (AS), a love is placed in the hearts of believers that will remain until the Day of Judgment.”
He added: “People’s enthusiasm for the pilgrimage to Karbala during Arbaeen shows that the path of Imam Hussein (AS) is the path of truth, honor, perfection, and pride, and this path will continue until the emergence of the Imam of the Time (AS).”
In response to a question about the duty of the followers of the Ashura uprising, Amini said: “The school of Imam Hussein (AS) is a university of humanization. Young writers should introduce the message of Arbaeen to the world through their writings and feel responsible on the path of this divine school.”
This meeting was held with the aim of explaining the place of Arbaeen in Islamic culture and examining its role in the awakening of the Islamic nation, and emphasizing the importance of raising awareness and responsibility of the young generation towards this movement.
