Wave of Arab and Islamic condemnation against Netanyahu
The recent statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the dream of "Greater Israel" and claiming ownership of parts of Arab lands have brought a wave of strong condemnation in the Arab and Islamic world. Officials from regional countries, the Arab League, the Hamas movement and Iranian officials have described these statements as expansionist, provocative and in violation of the UN Charter.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Following Benjamin Netanyahu's recent television interview with the i24 network and his views on "Greater Israel" - which he claims includes the occupied Palestinian territories and parts of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Egypt - a wave of negative reactions has formed in the region.
In the interview, Netanyahu described himself on a “historical and spiritual mission” and emphasized that he was emotionally connected to the dream of a “Greater Israel.” He even mentioned plans to displace Palestinians and relocate them to other countries.

Iran’s reaction
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran wrote on his personal page on X: “Is it still anti-Semitism if Netanyahu himself admits it?”
Ismail Baghaei, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, considered these statements “a clear declaration of the Zionist regime’s intention to encroach on the lands of independent countries” and called them a violation of the United Nations Charter. He also referred to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and called for immediate action by Islamic and Arab countries to stop the genocide, support the resistance, and prosecute the criminals.

Wave of Arab condemnation
Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Foreign Ministry condemned Netanyahu’s remarks and opposed Israel’s settlement and expansionist plans. Riyadh warned the international community that these policies violate international law.
Iraq: Baghdad considered these statements as “expansionist greed” and a clear violation of the sovereignty of countries and called for immediate action to stop the aggressions.
Qatar: Doha considered these statements as a continuation of Israel’s occupationist and arrogant policies that exacerbate the crises. Qatar emphasized its support for a just and lasting peace.
Egypt: Cairo condemned the “Greater Israel” plan and demanded an explanation from the Zionist authorities.
Jordan: Amman called these statements provocative and completely rejected.
Arab League: This regional body considered Netanyahu’s statements a prelude to implementing the expansionist plan and described it as an attempt to undermine the security and stability of the region.

Resistance groups’ reaction
“Netanyahu considers Greater Israel to be his dream and ideal, but we consider it an illusion that must be destroyed,” said Izzat al-Rishq, a member of the Hamas political bureau. He called Netanyahu a "neo-Nazi prime minister" who relies on Talmudic myths and seeks to swallow Arab and Islamic lands.

Historical background of the idea of "Greater Israel"
According to "Abdul-Wahab al-Masiri", an Arab thinker, Zionism was formed in the context of Western imperialism and expansionism is an inseparable part of it. "Theodor Herzl", the founder of the Zionist movement, had drawn a map for a "Jewish state" that extended from the Nile to the Euphrates.
Analysts believe that one of the reasons for the lack of a formal constitution in Israel is the avoidance of defining precise borders and maintaining the possibility of territorial expansion. "Yuri Onri", a Zionist journalist, even said that Israel's greed may go beyond the borders of "Greater Israel".
Experts warn that according to the Zionist plans, even Arab countries that have conciliatory relations with Israel will not be immune to this expansionist plan.
