Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: According to IRNA, the Minister of Defense of the Islamic Emirate praised the resistance and courage of the Iranian people against the recent military aggression in this meeting, which was held on Wednesday, on the sidelines of the 14th International Meeting of Senior Security Officials in Moscow.
He expressed condolences for the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei (RA), the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, and other Iranian officials and citizens who lost their lives during this aggression, and stated: “The soil, sky, and border of Afghanistan have not been and will not be the source of threat to the Islamic Republic of Iran, and we have proven this in the recent war.”
America and Israel; Common enemies of the region
Ali Bagheri, Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, also described the interference of foreigners and extra-regional powers as the main cause of instability in the region in this meeting, saying: “America and the Zionist regime are common enemies of the region.”
Emphasizing that only the countries of the region have the right to decide on their own security and destiny, he expressed hope that these countries, by strengthening consultation and joint cooperation, will provide the basis for independent decision-making in regional affairs, away from the intervention of third countries.
Areas of cooperation; From shared beliefs to economic ties
Bagheri continued to emphasize the strengthening of common ideological and political grounds for expanding cooperation, and considered economic and infrastructure cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan to be constructive and necessary in order to create sustainable security and stability for the region.
The Minister of Defense of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan also welcomed the development of relations between Tehran and Kabul and called for strengthening the exchange of delegations between the two countries.

In this meeting, which was held in the presence of Kazem Jalali, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia, the two sides exchanged views on a range of bilateral and regional issues. Combating terrorist groups and strengthening the security of common borders were among the most important topics of these discussions.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also thanked Afghanistan in a tweet for its cooperation in the recent imposed war against the country.
Maulvi Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, the Minister of Defense of the Islamic Emirate, also participated in the meeting on behalf of Afghanistan. On the sidelines of the meeting, a military-technical cooperation agreement was signed between Kabul and Moscow.
