Mobilizing Qom
On the eve of the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Qom and the People's Headquarters of Artists and Media announced the implementation of an extensive program to host cultural and media activists; a program that will be accompanied by the establishment of an "art tent", the provision of accommodation and catering services, the performance of theatrical and ritual works, and the organization of media coverage of this event.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Qom: The head of the People's Headquarters of the Friends of Art and Media, referring to the need for a magnificent and professional reflection of the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, announced the full readiness of this headquarters to host and support media members and journalists dispatched to Qom.
 
Rasoul Khadem, head of the People's Headquarters of the Friends of Art and Media, stated in a media meeting held at the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Qom, referring to the history of this group's activities: The People's Headquarters of the Friends of Art and Media previously managed to organize a variety of cultural and artistic programs for 50 consecutive nights with the public's welcome by organizing a procession on Bajak Street, and now, by utilizing the same valuable capacities and experiences, we are ready to serve and host the media during the funeral ceremony of His Holiness Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei (RA).
 
Accommodation and reception facilities for media members
Explaining the details of this hosting, he added: We consider it our duty to provide a base to the best of our ability so that journalists, photographers, and media personnel who come to Qom from all over the country to cover this historical event do not have to worry about accommodation and reception. Our goal is to ensure that the position of journalists and media personnel at the funeral ceremony is positioned and managed in the best possible way so that they can peacefully fulfill their professional mission in recording this national epic.
 
Special program to honor the best works
The head of the People's Headquarters of Art and Media Professionals, emphasizing the importance of the quality of the works produced during these days, said: "We have designed a special program to motivate and honor the efforts of artists and journalists. Accordingly, the works produced, including the best photos and reports prepared during the funeral ceremony, will be evaluated, and at the end, we will honor the creators of the best artistic and media works in a worthy manner."
 
Khadem concluded by saying: "We hope that with comprehensive participation and synergy, we will witness a ceremony worthy of the position of our martyred leader, and that this headquarters can be an arm for activists in the field of news and images in the path to achieving this goal."
 
Full mobilization of Qom's cultural and residential capacities to host national artists/ From setting up an "art tent" to allocating cinemas to serve pilgrims
The artistic deputy of the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Qom province and the head of the staff for communicating with artists during the funeral ceremony of the holy body of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, announced the preparation of all the infrastructure and cultural capacities of this general directorate to host artists, media members and filmmakers of the country.
 
Equipping two cultural centers for national hosting
Mohsen Heydari Atabak, in a press conference held today at the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Qom province, referred to the need for coordination to host artists dispatched from Tehran and other parts of the country and stated: With the measures taken, the two main buildings of the General Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance, including the Culture and Art Hall (located in Navab Square) and the central building of the General Directorate (located on Jomhuri Eslami Street), are fully equipped and will welcome dear guests, documentary makers, filmmakers and journalists from the country who have traveled to Qom to cover the funeral ceremony.
 
"Art Tent"; Center for Cultural Programs During Mourning
He emphasized the utilization of the capabilities of the "Art Camp", which had previously recorded a record of 50 nights of activity on Somayeh Street (Bajak), and added: "In collaboration with the artists of this camp, a tent titled "Art Tent" has been set up in the Culture and Art Hall of Navab Square. This tent, as the main base, will host street performances centered on the concept of "Ramadan War", visual arts exhibitions, live calligraphy, and Ta'ziyyah rituals for pilgrims and neighbors.
 
Catering and logistic support during crowded days
The head of the Artists Relations Headquarters stated that the programs of this headquarters are especially focused on Mondays and Tuesdays (the peak days of the funeral), and added: "In addition to the cultural programs, groups from the Central Province are present as guests who, by preparing 800 kilograms of flour, will bake and distribute Salavati bread among the pilgrims. Salavati stations, water distribution, and welfare services have also been planned near the art tent to manage the crowd and provide services to the pilgrims."
 
The Record of the "Ramadan War" and the Activities of Specialized Associations
Haydari Atabak, presenting a report on the performance of artists during the "Ramadan War" period, said: "Our committed artists managed to perform 43 significant programs during more than 100 nights of active presence in the square." He added: "In this path, the theater, visual arts, photography, calligraphy, animation, and even fashion and clothing associations played an effective role in explaining the artistic atmosphere of the city by receiving all legal permits from the competent authorities." He added: "All administrative procedures, correspondence, and registrations related to the entry and establishment of the country's artists have been carried out by this headquarters."
 
The new policy of the province's cinemas on funeral days
The artistic deputy of the General Directorate of Culture and Guidance of Qom announced regarding the change in the use of the province's cinemas during these days: In order to serve pilgrims, all cinemas in Qom will be closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays, while They will be open to the public and pilgrims as service centers and rest areas. Also, after the end of the official holidays and the resumption of screenings, it has been decided that before the screening of all films, a specially produced teaser on the theme of "Ramadan War" and commemorating the memory of the martyred leader of the revolution will be broadcast so that we can pay our respects to his ideals.
