Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The second press conference for the year 1405 solar year, titled "Government Program in the Mirror of the Press," was held today, Sunday, under the chairmanship of Maulvi Zabihullah Mujahid, the central spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, in the presence of journalists from domestic and foreign media and representatives of eight government institutions at the Government Information and Media Center.
The meeting was held under the slogan "Economy and Self-Sufficiency Week" to facilitate information dissemination, and in it, a report on the achievements of the Ministry of Economy, Mines and Petroleum, Finance, Transport and Aviation, Industry and Trade, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, National Standards and Quality Administration, and Da Afghanistan Bank was presented.
In this program, Maulvi Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, announced about the achievements of the Ministry of Economy that in 1447 AH, the five-year development strategy of Afghanistan was formulated and approved by the leadership of the Islamic Emirate after the approval of the Economic Commission.
According to him, this strategy has three basic pillars and 15 priority programs and has been organized with the aim of achieving desirable governance, the rule of law, ensuring security and public order, and the economic and social development of the country. Also, the development budget for the fiscal year 1405 AH has been formulated and allocated based on the priority programs of this document.
He stated that this strategy also includes plans to improve the investment climate, develop industry and trade, mobilize domestic resources, and strengthen coordination between the public and private sectors, which are currently being implemented.
Mr. Mojahid added: The ministry also announced the development of plans to facilitate the attraction and development of foreign direct investment, a framework for the growth of small and medium-sized industries, the development of local tourism, sustainable agriculture, the establishment of industrial zones, import substitution, and support for domestic production.
He emphasized that the implementation of these plans aims to strengthen the national economy, develop industry and agriculture, achieve self-sufficiency, attract domestic and foreign investments, create job opportunities, reduce dependence on imports, and increase support for domestic production.
